"Terrible service by the manager"

We are new arrivals to Cambridge and live close to the Old Spring Pub whic is just off Chesterton Road Cambridge. We visited the pub just before Xmas for some dinner and was bitterly disappointed by the service (of lack of it) we received by the assistant manager. He was extremely rude and basically told us he had no time for us becuase of large Xmas bookings. If the facility's not there to accommodate all customers, why open?

We had been there before and always thought it was okay. But would definitely never ever go back there again after the way we have been treated - paying customers. Will share our thoughts with all we know. After all, it is all word of mouth restaurants rely on.
