"Eskalith not profitable for Smithkline Beecham Pharmaceuticals?"

I have been taking Eskalith CR 450 mg., made by Smithkline Beecham Pharmaceuticals for 15 years. I have had no bad side effects, after having to try about 100 other drugs that did give me bad side effects.
Now I am being told by three major drug store and a “good neighbor” drug store that this manufacturer is no longer making it. I have to switch to a generic version. It would appear that the problem is a financial one for the company.
I have talked to several other people, living in different states, who are taking Eskalith CR 450 mg. and they are having the same problem.
The generics give me some bad side effects. I only see two options, deal with the side effects or start all over again searching for a new medication (with their side effects). Kenn
