"The Best"
A review of Chilis Grill & Bar by Christina - Saturday 25th of February 2006
I had never been to a Chili's before then, but we had to stop to one in Albany, NY because we were starving. I did not know what to expect. We started off with an appetizer, it was called the "Triple Play", it was pretty good. It was made up of Chicken Crispers, Boneless Buffalo Wings and Southwestern Eggrolls and was served with 3 dipping sauces, ranch, blue cheese and honey mustard. I ordered my drink, which was by far the best drink I have EVER had at any resturant so far, it was called a Tropical Sunrise. I'm not sure the exact ingredients, but I do know it has Tequila, Grenadine, Pineapple Juice and Midori, and maybe one other ingredient. We ordered our main meals. I wanted the $14.49 entree, where you can chose between two selections. I went with the Chili's Classic Sirloin and Garlic and Lime Shrimp. EXCELLENT! The steak was done perfect, even though they never put the herb butter on it, and the shrimp was delicious!! The sides were good too, the potatoes were a little cold, but they were topped with bacon and cheese so it was OK and the veggies were cooked right. My boyfriend ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo, he did not like the spice they topped it with, but overall he said it was OK, the shrimp he like and the pasta was done perfect. After dinner was over, my boyfriend and I shared a MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE , it was really good. It was a warm chocolate cake filled with warm chocolate fudge topped with vanilla ice cream and the chocolate that hardens when cold, it was delicious. For you people who enjoy the thick chocolate taste, this one is for you. Our final total came to $50.27, which was somewhat high compared to what I have spent at my local resturants, but I will have to say it is well worth it to go there!!!
