"Disappointing Chez Gerard"

Like the previous revieiwer, we have always had a good meal in Chez Gerard, however we were very disappointed today. Firstly the table we were shown to had food on the chairs and the floor around it, when we pointed this out we were shown another table but the food wasnt cleaned up until about 45 mins later! The wine wasnt chilled, the frites looked and tasted like they'd been sat around for a couple of hours and the steak was tough. We went on Sunday afternoon so I appreciate it was off peak and so staff were probably limited but if they dont have the staff to provide a decent meal then they shouldn't open. Instead we have had a bad experience and consequently wont eat here again.
