"Also worked at Pizza Hut"
A review of Pizza Hut by 2 yrs - Monday 15th of May 2006
I agree with what Pizza hut worker said, except the customers tend to think Pizza hut should just have the speed and low cost of McDonald's with the service of Olive Garden or some other high end restaurant. I worked on the waitstaff of Pizza Hut for almost two years (although I also cleaned, cooked, took phone and take out orders, cashed people out and prepped food all for literally under $3 an hour) and was eventually let go because the "Mystery shopper" would come in every month and only rate me. Why only me? Because I worked 5 nights a week and I was the ONLY person waiting the ENTIRE RESTAURANT. Of course due to this service was slower since management refused to schedule anyone else to wait during the dinner hours (and thus ironically i was fired because of this). Thus the fault of slow service was attributed to me because no one in the crowded restaurant seemed to notice there was only one person in the entire place bringing food to people. It's a modern-day example of shoot the messenger. Neither customers nor management care if someone is waiting on 20-30 tables, and cleaning, bussing, and cashing people out, the stigma is that it's always that waitperson's fault. It's due to this popular idea that I declined when the restaurant was purchased by a new owner and they tried to get me to come back on. They soon went out of buisiness.
