I heard from a friend when I left, loads of people where stealing money on buffet shift! This may not be correct, but if it is, things are really starting to make sense! The area manager allocates a weekly labour allowance to the restaurant, the labour allowance is worked out on how much money the store makes weekly, Staff were always pissed off and buffet shift was always a struggle as there would only be 4 people out front, it really needed 5 or 6. If staff weren't nicking huge amounts, the store would make more money weekly and the labour allowance would increase! athou when they did have the correct amount of people to run a shift they were exceeding labour allowance, in which how do you pay everyone correctly when there isn't enough money to go round! I'm not talking little money either thats apparently being taken it's like a few hundred quid each person weekly!
