"They're OK"

I've bought a couple of bikes in Mikes Bikes :-

One GT Palomar (mountain bike), and then a Dawes Horizon (touring bike), and both have been fine.

I've not had to deal with their service department, but I'm pretty tolerant of niggles.

Sales service can be slow when the place is busy, but that's hardly surprising.

I had two different experiences asking for discounts. With the mountain bike they'd only throw in a £5 chain even though I was offering to buy some overpriced waterproof clothing there as well. Whereas with the touring bike I got 5% off, which I spent on a Cannondale shirt straightaway...!
