I remember Gees from when I lived in Cambridge in the seventies, and it feels quite nostalgic to hear they're still trading.

I just recall this aura of calm dedication to electronics, whenever I went in. It was always very quiet in there (as in not much conversation, not a paucity of customers). There was an eccentric feel to the place, which all added to the experience.

They fixed everything I managed to break and, somewhere up that ladder, always found the spare I couldn't find anywhere else.

Dixons, leave well alone.
