"Not customer-friendly..."

In general, the food is good, if a little variable, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. One example is that I have been hung up on twice whilst attempting to make a reservation. I shan't try again - the food is not so good that it is worth my while.
Walking in on spec with lower expectations than usual of the service is probably the best course of action.
