I'm not sure why there are so many out of date reviews here but I'm not sure they give the restaurant the credit it deserves. I've only eaten here on a few occasions but I've never left disappointed. In my opinion this is one of the best of the mid-priced offerings in Cambridge. In a city which these days is dominated by homogeneous chain bars and restaurants this is a bit of an institution and one of the finest locations available. OK, so it's not particularly cheap but Cambridge is not particularly cheap either.

In my experience it's a very enjoyable place to spend a relaxed evening - good food, decent wine and, contrary to some of the other reviews, courteous & efficient service - I don't know many other restaurants in Cambridge of which I could say the same.
