"Review of The Castle"A review of The Castle by Carol Jones - Tuesday 20th of May 2003Advertisements
Occasionally frequented by an elderly Guinness drinking Irish gentleman who is bit of a local character. Orders two pints at a time and as the evening progresses become very drunk. Becomes very, very aggressive but on other exceedingly humerous by complaining of his haemorroids (bumgrapes)whilst fidgeting on his seat. When this subject is brought up it is possible to have a good laugh at his expense. Other times he is both boring and childish. Locals and visitors are kept amused by his antics. Most of the time customers do tend to ignore him but there is one other person who can usually spark him off. Referring to him as Paddy O'Bumgrapes will usually have the desired effect. |
