"Guarantees Enthusiast Excitement"
A review of Gees Electrical Shop by John Ellis - Tuesday 19th of December 2006
If, like me, you were an avid electronics enthusiast when you were in your teens, back in the early seventies, then just walking into Gee's will give you a buzz. All the bits & pieces that you spent your days playing with (relays, coils, capacitors, seven segment LEDs etc. etc.) are all there. Even the way the shop is stuffed with items in labelled boxes on every wall will evoke memories of seeking a particular part to complete a project. Gee's isn't just a time capsule of memories, though it DOES have that fantastic quality. They stock items covering the entire timespan, from then, to now, which is why they always seem to have what I need (today it was a 1/4 stereo line socket, last time it was a round pin mains plug). If you want an unusual electrical or electronic item and you want to step back into a (sadly) forgotten world of good service backed up by comprehensive stock, call in on Gee's. P.S. Their Tel number is Camb. 358019. It's quite hard to find it online.
