I've been on this drug since 1994, when I first was diagnosed with having dysphoric mania. Living everyday with the symptoms of this disease felt like being in a nightmare, I thought I was dying. My doctor knew right away what was wrong and put me on what she said was the best, Eskalith cr 450mg twice daily. About a week later I had my life back. I went on with my life and felt great. 12yrs later by accident got the generic and didn't know. Within a few days all of the terrible symptoms returned. My pharm. gave me the right one and within a few days I was back on track. Then the nightmare started again when I was told only that the name brand eskalith was on back order. Why did Glaxo smith kline not tell our doctors and pharm.
