"Botches then Quits?, the B&Q"
A review of B & Q by Shelley - Saturday 28th of April 2007
I am sorry to hear all these people having such a bad time of their dealings with B&Q. I am certainly put off forever. There has to be a reason for those special prices, you know, the old line "you get what you pay for". But then, homebase is owned by argos, so is more trustworthy than B&Q. But that is not the point. There are places you can go to complain, once B&Q refuse to negotiate or even communicate further. There are even programs on TV, so all you need to do, is look up where you can get the most help, and possibly expose the problems to the general public. There are definately places that take complaints about trade, and can help. As far as I know, you are not required to pay for services not rendered to the agreed level. If anything, I would say that you have a right to be compensated for damages caused. Try to get legal help, if all else fails, and do not stop payments without legal consultation, as this is your proof of fullfilment of your end of the bargain. You can claim these back through the legal system later, if you have entitlement. The law is fair, and works are supposed to be completed to a satisfactory level, as well as a reasonable time frame. Please note, this is not legal information, but rather advice to get the right legal information.
