Ate at Midsummer House 28.4.07
Unsual but nice location, nice decor, excellent food with lots of additional courses to the starter, main and dessert you choose, a lovely experience.
However the staff seem to rather reserved and do not smile often, although helpful if approached their air is somewhat robotic and silent although very efficient and correct in their service!
Wine list very extensive - if not somewhat over priced compared to the food.
We were the first four to arrive at Midsummer House, perhaps alittle music, in keeping with the setting could be playing just so you do not feel you have to whisper to your friends across the table.
Overall a great foodie experience all credit to the Head chef, if only the front of house staff could match his success.
