There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in and around Cambridge. To be honest none of them are fantastic, but there are a fair few that beat Charlie Chan's hands down - Chato down Regent Street (away from town) is a good example. For evening meals I'd definitely avoid.

On the flip side this is currently the only place you can get Dim Sum in Cambridge (though it looks like there's a place opening just down the road) and they do it quite well. Prices are OK and most dishes are reasonable quality. It can't really compete with Chinatown in London, but if you crave Dim Sum and are in the area then give it a go.
