I'm sure that you felt very hurt by being refused for an 18 rated movie, but most people don't realize that retail workers have to answer personally for any errors in judgement that they make when providing rated material to those underage. If a staff member makes a wrong choice, it's their decision I'm afraid because, while you might lose out on a DVD, they can get a 5 grand fine, lose their jobs and potentially face a jail sentence. The laws are harsh and we bear the brunt of them. It's not fair as I didn't start working in entertainment retail to be a moral guardian. the stress this can cause on a busy day can be difficult and sometimes people make mistakes and it can be hard work if people start getting upset. Once a query is made, only ID can solve the problem. If this staff member was less than professional then I'm sorry for that, but please understand.
