"Lloyds Carselect dont make cars!"

While I understand your frustration over your vehicle
I feel it is unfair to blame Carselect for your problem they only provide funding for vehicles they dont make them.

Your real issue should be with Renault and its dealer network.
So I would suggest that any stroppy letters and phone calls you may need to do should be directed at your local dealer in the first instance if you dont get any joy down that route, a letter to the chairman of Renault UK.

Lead times are always quoted as approximate from a manufacturer and that fact should be stated by the sales person.

Anybody using the word "promise" in the car industry
is a brave fool.
However in defence of new car dealers none would deliberately delay a vehicles delivery.

A car salesperson is a lot keener than you are to be driving from his showroom in your new car as he wont be paid his commission til a month after you take delivery.
