"A reply to Sheila Bibb"A review of Welcome Finance by John - Tuesday 22nd of May 2007Advertisements
Hi Sheila, Please don't despair as these situations can be resolved through alternative channels. For one, have you written to the following address: Finance and Leasing Association, Imperial House, 15-19 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6UN You need to write about their refusal to send you a copy of the agreement. I'm no expert but according to the credit consumers act, when you ask for a copy of the agreement and they HAVE to send you a copy. With regards to the insurance, well what can I say.... As you'll know, they will not let you buy one of their cars without their insurance, and according to some of the responses on here and other websites that I have been reading, they shy away from paying out no matter how studiously you have been with keeping up payments. But lets cut to the chase here. For this you need to write to the FSA as it's regarding one of their insurance products. But according to the FSA 'Insurance is a way of protecting yourself and your belongings against a particular adverse event, for example, a burglary, or losing your income because of illness. If this happens, insurance will pay out an agreed amount, or an amount to cover the damage, as appropriate.' So this is relevant for your circumstances. Cut and paste the following where you would normally enter a web address on your browser : http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/guides/making_a_complaint.html Hope that helps |
