Hi Gemma,

All banks and finance companies will look to work with debt management agencies , you need to use a company that does not charge a management fee as this money could be used to clear your creditors off quicker, I would recommend the national debt line or the consumer credit counselling service if you ring 118 118 they will give you the number they are a registered charity set up to help people in your situation and do not charge for their services, I know Welcome will freeze interest and stop applying charges once they receive written confirmation that you are dealing with a debt management company and will look to reduce your payments to what you can afford ongoing without applying further interest hope this helps.
