"Sofa Workshop Patience"

I took delivery of my brand new leather Robertson sofa from Sofa Workshop last week. Unfortunately I had failed to think through the logistics of transporting this large item into my 1st floor flat in Nottingham. Luckily my neighbour arrived, just as me and the delivery man were drawing up an ambitious plan involving pulleys and a rope made out of bits and bobs we could find.

My neighbour had already had to figure out how to get their sofa inside their flat and so between the delivery man and my neigbour they managed to haul the sofa onto my neighbours roof terrace, in through their flat out into the corrider and then in through my front door! I would advise anyone buying a sofa to try and carefully plan out how to get it into your house/flat, as although it was easy once my neighbour turned up the delivery man and I had spent a good hour attempting to get the sofa into my flat. I really take my hat off to the guy for sticking with me as I was worried at any moment he was going to give up and leave me and my lovely new sofa on the pavement!

Sofa Workshop do say that they will deliver to the room of your choice and in this case they meant it, but I wouldn't expect all their delivery men to be that patient..
