"Abrupt and unhelpful"

I tried to book a table 24 hrs in advance and was told she couldnt hear me and could I ring back later. I said firmly that if I was planning this family outing I would like to book it now and somewhat reluctantly she went (got booking diary?) and keep shouting 'I can't hear you' as if it was my fault! Not "sorry, its a bit noisy" or anything. This is a favourite place of mine but this has put me right off.
