I have bought quite a bit of stuff in Dogfish over the years - mainly as others have said because they don't have a great deal of competition in the city. 
 
I guess they feel they have an image they want to maintain, but I have to agree that they need to sort their staff out. They do make a pathetic attempt to act aloof when you go in. It's also true in my experience that if you spend a fair bit that they then suddenly become very sycophantic which puts me off to be honest. Shallow, childish arrogance is not an image I aspire to... 
 
Money is not an issue for me, but getting what I want without dealing with nonsense is. My advice is to jump on the train to London, where there are hundreds of stores with better stock and friendly staff that usually know what customer service means.
