"It Ain't The Savoy Grill!"A review of All Bar One by L Morris - Thursday 2nd of August 2007Advertisements
Hilarious message from an anonymous manager at an 'All Bar One' - since when was 'All Bar One' viewed as upmarket? You need to get out more mate - or perhaps you used to work at McDonalds so its a step up for you? I was refused a drink at the Brighton 'ABO' recently because I was accompanied by a dog no bigger than a gineau pig. The no Dog policy is nonsensical when we are talking tiny dogs (and a lady who commented on her identical experience at Cambridge ABO had her small dog safely contained in a pet carrier!) The law states that the restaurant kitchen is the only area dogs are prohibited, the policy for all other areas of a bar or restaurant is up to the discretion of the management. I won't go back to ABO without my dog as they are incapable of using discretion. And a final question to the ananoymous ABO manager who claims dogs aren't allowed 'because they smell' - is it also ABO's policy to eject customers with B.O.? Not judging by the unwashed crowd I encountered at the Brighton branch! |
