"In defence of the bus driver"
A review of Bus Station - Stagecoach Cambus by Mike Humble - Tuesday 7th of August 2007
In response to the driver not having change for a £10 note, this is simply because MOST passengers offer £10 notes early on in the shift. Result? the driver runs out of change! Once upon a time people used to TRY and have change for drivers, it is after all courtesy to do so. Though it is true Stagecoach are pretty useless as are the drivers, passengers dont help much by asking pointless and often not thought through questions such as:
"I was here at 9.30 last Tuesday where were you?"
"What happened to the bus before this one?"
"How long is the next bus?" (same length as this)
"I left my bag on the number 3 last night did you pick it up?"
These and more questions get asked every day. Along with kids spitting in drivers face and ever increasing traffic. I challenge ANYONE to spend just one day shaddowing a driver to see what they REALLY have to put up with.
