"Looking both ways"
A review of Red House Surgery by Diane - Friday 31st of August 2007
Having been a doctor's receptionist myself (at another practice ) and now a patient at Red House I can see things from both sides of the fence. My husband and I both atttend the surgery and we couldn't have received better treatment from doctors, nurses and reception staff at Red House. Yes, you may be asked "Why " you need to see doctor urgently but how else are they to prioritise appointments ? You don't have to shout out your illness in front of everyone as they are very discreet. Remember the receptionists are people too and are only trying to do their job so YOU can get an urgent appointment if necessary. As for finding the surgery closed for a training day I know this happens (why I don't know, as it didn't in my days as receptionist ! ) but they always have a notice up some time in advance advertising this so I can only presume this person walks around without looking at the notices - they are there for a reason. ! Neither of us has any problems getting appointments and have, on occasion, been surprised how QUICKLY we got a routine one. Come on, they are are a great practice.
