My mum had severe brain damage from a stroke and lack of oxygen to her brain.she was our whole life she was transported from addenbrookes hospital to lord byron ward where she died 3and half weeks later.she could not do anything her self but just lay there not even move speak but just stare up at the ceiling but the staff there still saw my mum as a person and gave her everything they could and us the family too.Today i would like to thank the staff there from me and my family and most of all my dear mum who at 63 had a few more years left for treating her with the dignity she deserved.I no if she would of made it she would of thanked you herself, you are truley wonderful nurses and doctors and i hope the people who are considering closing the hospital ward prey they never have to go through the pain and suffering we went through as without this ward alot of people wont have that special care that they so richly deserve at the end without these wards and nurses
