Regarding chris jordans review, i work for citylink and it really pisses me off when i read al these reviews and websites that say avoid citylink etc if u took into account the amount of parcels that are actually delivered on time everyday you'd be surprised this business has a very high turnover of staff as most peeps cant hack it coz they think being a courier means sitting on ur arse and bein ur own boss which means we have to use alot of agency staff to replace people that leave us in the lurch with no driver for that route, and as every one knows agency dont give a **** they might only be there 1 day and go to a delivery area they dont know and some turn up without a map!i have worked for this company 4 years and done the same rt 4 the same amount of time i see alot of people and i class myself to be reliable and honest and i made sure all timed deliveries were on time and im also quite sure that alot of customers were more than happy with my service, but what i did come to learn over time that if the company u are ordering from have cocked up in any way they just blame the courier for loosing coz then they save face and keep your business howcan we deliver somethin if hasn't ever arrived at our depot???everythin that comes in that morning goes out for delivery that day and anything not delivered on time that depot gets fined for and its 50 quid a parcel out of the branch budget and another bug bare is when u knock the door numerous times (there might be windows open or sometimes neven a door open, but still no answer we are very busy and havent got all day too wait for someone to answer)you put a card through then 5 mins later the depot rings us up saying can u reatempt you didnt knock the dor just posted the card i always say no to those ones coz there lying and y should we reattempt when there accusing u of not attempting a favorite is "my doorbell doesnt work"thats not our problem.what would a driver achieve by just posting a card and not knocking????????if ur at the address you would get rid of the parcel we only have to redeliver the next day so theres no advantage to the driver to do this its not our fault if u dont hear the door or bell so please take this into consideration next time you have something delivered
