A review of Mikes Bikes by Joe C. - Sunday 11th of November 2007
I've been to Mike's several times, the first of which was to see if they had an adaptor so i could use a foot pump with a presta valve. The young sales assistant had a route around behind the counter, and gave me one free of charge, which was fine and dandy.
The next time i took my Marzocchi forks in to have some new air seals put in, as they are apparantly an approved Marzocchi dealer. Upon handing the forks over to their mechanic, he proceeded to compress and un-compress the forks (despite them not having any air in!) until the oil seals broke. He then promptly said i'd need to pay for new oil seals as well, and that i would have to pay for them despite he just breaking them. I left very unhappy with some forks that were even more broken than when i arrived.
The 3rd time i went to Mike's, i was approached by a sales assistant quickly. I asked for a sprocket for my bike, to which i received a prompt "Are you having a f***ing laugh?" response, he looking at a cabinet full of bars, and telling me to go somewhere else.
Overall, not best impressed.
