I have always found staff in boots to be very helpful, even when I ask strange questions. They have always been helpful and curtious. I did have a problem once, and they ( a young female member of staff) was very helpful, and went out of her way to sort my issues out, she did not achieve it 100%, but she did her best. And at the tme I was dressed as a female, I am normally a male I have no problem with this. 
Also remeber if you are rude, don't espect shining customer service, they are human beings, treat them with respect, they are out there doing a job. That grants them respect. If they are rude for no reason, then for that poerson respect is gone
