A review of Halfords by Harry Halford - Sunday 2nd of December 2007
As some one who has worked for Halfords I would suggest that some of the pompous smart ****s who write on these forums try standing on the other side of the counter. You get some right idiots who come in pay £79 for a mountain bike have it built and ride off into the sunset. They dont check it, clean it, lubricate it at all and most of the time the leave it outside in all weathers. They usually come back after three months and say "Your supposed to have pdi`d this bike but its a sack of ***t.... the gears dont work, the brakes are rubbish and the gear chains rusty."
"So what what maintainance have you done to it Sir?"
"Nothing its got a 12 month warranty"
"Yes but you still have to look after it Sir."
"Yes but you checked it over when I bought it."
"Thats right so we sold you it safe and roadworthy but unless you maintain it it will finish up like this".
"I paid nearly £100 for that bike."
"Yes Sir and I paid £16000 for my car and if I dont pay to have it serviced that too will finish up *****d."
"Give me your head office address I know my rights."
A typical scenario just like the moron who didnt fit his pedals on properly then is surprised that the threads get ruined in a short period.
Believe me the IBD`s would be showing many of the morons the door before they could even say " andIve only ridden it twice"
