Your smart arse review really got my blood boiling, I have worked in retail for over a decade, and no its not because I am thick, a teenager or ugly (have you been into a Mcdonalds lately? do you really think thats where the good looking people work?). In todays americanised "see you in court" culture I would be reluctant to give advice to anyone wanting to carry out "matters of construction" if I did not have qualifications in the relevant field. If people aren't electrcians they should not give advice on electrics, the same goes for plumbing, gas and building. If you dont know how to fit an electric shower for example should you be even attempting to install it? NO, call an electrician. B&Q stocks thousands of products, do you really expect their staff to have intimate knowledge on everything? Maybe people in DIY stores can sometimes be unhelpful, but on the whole I find them to be honest and hardworking. You really do sound like you need to get off your high horse, its a long way to fall sir!
