"Some B&Q staff are honest"

Given that most of the reviews about B&Q paint it in a bad light, may I just say that in the Colchester branch, the staff are at least honest enough to admit that the McAllister tool range is absolute rubbish. Their honesty saved me over £150 when buying some tools recently.
If you want to buy screws, nails, tools etc. check-out www.screwfix.co.uk , they are part of the same group as B&Q, but charge 40% less. Or, if you have one in your area, visit Machinemart, they have a really good 'customer returns' section.
