I have worked for stead&simpson/shoe express for nearly 18 years and i know that the company have a lot of failings but i really hope that they can overcome their present struggle as i think that the shoe retail business needs a company like steads as they are a middle ground between stores which are completely cheapo shoes and those which cost a fortune because they have a fancy logo. we have survived many changes from being owened by clayform properties, which basically creamed off profit form us to fund their building work, to the last management buyout before xmas, so please support steads and keep us in your local high street
