I got attitude, too. I returned a bag of oranges the day after purchase, after discovering some had rotted and were covered with mold (I understand this could happen anywhere). The clerk took her time in giving me a refund (and yes, I had the receipt) and did not wish to allow me to also take a replacement bag of oranges, despite the fact that this is the store's policy--replacement of merchandise that is unsatisfactory, along with a full refund. So, please save your receipts and be (politely, of course) assertive.
