"Bye bye Steads!"

I worked for Steads as a Manager for almost ten years and left in December (What luck!) I was gutted to find out what used to be my top performing store is closing and my fabulous team will now be redundant- that could have been me!
This has come as no surprise, the company has been going down hill for ages. My heart goes out to all of you that have lost your jobs but please remember, the company has given you nothing for your loyalty, all of your happy memories have come from the people you worked with, True or false? When was the last time you heard a simple 'Thank you?'. All they wanted you to do was cut more hours but do more work, they never had a thought for the people that were actually earning them money! Believe me there is life after Steads, and its a peaceful happy life, and I hope you all find somewhere you will be appreciated, I have been lucky to escape when I did and believe me the moment I pulled my shutter down for the last time was the moment I got my life back.
To the DAS girls, you were missed as soon as you went, all the stores were gutted how they just turfed you out. I hope you will all move onto better things, esp Geraldine, who was simply the best! xx
