"A member of staff's point of view..."A review of Halfords by The Shadow - Saturday 23rd of February 2008Advertisements
Has anyone else noticed how FEW of the "complaints" in this thread are based upon the level of service given by specific individuals? Has anyone else noticed how MANY of the "complaints" in this thread are based upon the level of service that individuals are FORCED to deliver due to LACK OF... * Staff availability to serve the customer. * Training provided to be able to serve the customer. * Time available for the member of staff to serve the customer. Before you all complain about the poor service that Mr John Smith from Somewhere store gave you, please bear in mind that John has probably recieved MINIMAL training, is on four-pound-something an hour, and as well as trying to resolve your complaint he is also COMMANDED to acknowledge EVERY customer that comes into the store within five seconds, answer EVERY phone call within five rings. Also, whilst he is talking to you, John may well be the only person on his department, therefore he may also have have a phone call on hold, another customer waiting for him to fit a battery to their car, and a lorry waiting out the back with hundeds of boxes of stock for him to unload on his own as there is no-one else to do it. Feel free to bash the company, please do! It is the Directors who force this bad service upon you. Please do not berate the people at the coal-face who are trying to do their jobs to the best of their abilities with hopelessly inefficient resources. |
