Those people that have lost their jobs (and those that did not get made redundant) MAY be entitled to a protective award for the lack of consultation over the way the recent transactions have taken place. I urge ALL ex Stead and Simpson employees to get down to their local Citizens Advice Bureau and seek advise, alternatively if you are a member of a trade union get your officer to earn his/her wages and fight your case. 
The money will not come to you, you will have to go after it.
