Three months ago I signed a 2 year contract with LA Fitness (Kettering) for a fixed rate of £34.98 month. I pay £49. p.c.m. for my wife's Cannons' membership (Northampton) where I used to belong. I attend every day, and classes are included in the price. The equipment is perfectly maintained, the staff always extremely friendly and helpful, and the facilities clean. Unfortunately the pool is unnecessarily savagely chlorinated (much more healthy alternatives - but likely more expensive - to chlorine are available) but I suspect that such is the case within most private health clubs in the UK. Sadly, I cannot use the pool as my skin cannot handle the chemicals. LA Fitness has been a Godsend for me, and such has not broken the bank, and they have my utmost repect and thanks.
