Unlike some local butchers, Petes offers a great range of fresh local produce, and not just meat. You can buy free-range farm eggs, to go with your Suffolk bacon, a tempting array of cheeses, unconcentrated apple juice, high quality olive oil, and so on. In the summer, their BBQ bags stuffed with ribs/steaks/chops/sausages/whatever takes your fancy are a winner. And there's nearly always something new to try from spicy meatballs to marinated chicken. Since I discovered Petes I rarely buy supermarket meat anymore - the savings are insignificant and the quality is noticeably worse.
