"White piccalilli?"

Hi, I'm John Smith (really) in Abu Dhabi.

I'm a piccalilli addict, and hunted around the supermarkets here for a jar or three without success.

Upon asking a shop assistant, I was shown a large row of large jars of "white stuff". I had previously walked past this.

To my amazement, it was Haywards Piccalilli! I picked one up and it was yellowish at the back, but blanched in front (presumably from the fluorescent lights).

I bought one - the taste is OK, (Haywards "Original" 740g).

I thinks Chivers-Hartley need to do some R&D if they want to keep up with the Branston sales!!
