"Best bike shop in Cambridge"
A review of University Cycles by Claude - Wednesday 25th of June 2003
Ever since finding this gem of a bike shop in Cambridge, I've been back there every single time I need anything. Cheapest parts and accessories I've seen, and very good value repairs. Because of this value and friendliness, they're often very busy, so don't presume you can just waltz in, dump your broken bike, and expect they'll be happy to fix it for you. Best to phone and find out when a good time would be - otherwise, be very polite if you're bringing in an emergency repair - you may just catch him on a bad day when he has 20 bikes to repair. They also have a great range of new and 2nd hand bikes, all at very good prices (I got a brand-new Raleigh at about £80 off the price at the Raleigh shop down Chesterton Lane). Also a great place to go if you have/want a foreign (read: Dutch) bike. As Cambridge is such a bicycle-rich town, this should definitely be the first place you check out for anything bicycle related. 9/10
