"PARKING LIE" A review of Aldi by Ann Ominus - Tuesday 6th 2008f May 2008 Advertisements Please be aware that the car park management company used by Aldi, a company called ParkinEye use ANPR cameras to photograph you entering and leaving the car park then calculate the time you have stayed. If there is a percieved overstay they send you a PCN through the post. This system is full of holes and problems.  1 - "The contract" is with the driver not the registered owner, the letter will state they are entitled to "presume" you were the driver NOT TRUE  2 - These cameras suffer greatly form multiple visit syndrome ie you go in and out of the carpark more than once in a day they frequently do not read all transactions  3 - They use a company called CCS collect to do all of there money chasing the first two letters appear to come from ParkingEye and the final one from CCS  JUST IGNORE THEM COMPLETELY AFTER THE FINAL LETTER YOU WILL HEAR NOTHING MORE ABOUT IT!!  4 - They are unable to send Baliffs unless they get a court order and to do this they MUST PROVE you were driving the car. They will not take you to court anyway due to the cost and the implications if they lose.  5 - The Telephone numbers on their signs and letters will only put you through to the Call Centre of CCS (Commercial Collection Services) Call their office in Preston instead they will advise you to ring the call centre instead but don't let them fob you off   01772 885800.  Keep your peeled i am about to set up a website where anybody will be able to pass on their spurious parking debt to me for £5 and i will deal with these companies for you
