"I want to to be a hairdresser!!!"

Hi,
I have just finished my A levels and though this is hardly the direct route, I dont have the money to be calling round every single hairdressers in Cambridge nor the legs for walking round the immense area of the city to call into them all personally.
I REALLY WANT TO BE A HAIRDRESSER!!!
Does anyone have any advice on how I can go about getting in shop training in hairdressing?
