In 2004 I bought a compound mitre saw from Aldi for the reduced price of £24, after it had given me good service for about 12 months I unfortunately dropped it, and broke the clear plastic safety guard, before consigning it to the dump, I rang the helpline to see what the cost of the necessary spare parts would be in order to repair it, a very helpful chap there said he would despatch the items I required immediately and there would be no charge, not even postage. The parts arrived next day, and the saw was repaired and has been in regular use ever since. That is what I call customer care.
