"Wonderful food and kind staff"
A review of Zizzi by Moyra A Borg - Saturday 21st of June 2008
I went to Zizzi's in Cambridge last night. The food was out of this world, really wonderful. There were a few problems though, which would not take a lot of effort to rectify. We were quite a large party. We all put our orders in and the food arrived really quickly. One lady in our party though found out that her meal had not been ordered, so her meal arrived a few minutes later than ours. This was a shame as it would not have taken long to count the number of people and the number of meal orders taken just to check the order was correct. The atmosphere there was good, though it was very busy and deafeningly noisy just because of all the people in there who were talking loudly. There is a stupendous view of Parker's Piece and sitting on that side of the restaurant one could really enjoy being there, especially with the huge windows open as one could almost feel one was sitting out of doors. The prices in the restaurant seemed very reasonable for Cambridge and the staff could not have been kinder. I shall probably visit again at a quieter time and sit at a table overlooking Parker's Piece. We were there on a Friday night which was very hectic. There was also a small confusion about the number of bottles of wine we had ordered. Maybe it would be best to have a designated waiter or waitress for each table and then he or she could keep track of the table's needs in a more accurate way.
