"It is time I revealed to let women know the truth.."

Today I am sat in my conservatory, reflecting....I have to smile. This is a true story...

My first visit to Turkey was in 1992. My father had died that January. MY mother and I went to Kusadasi. It was a present. I was going to live in South Africa joining my brother. We had a two weeks holiday.

Still I smile...

I met a man called Rejep who worked at the hotel where I stayed, he would smile, call me his angel. Where ever we went men wanted to talk...This never happens in England, so it was flattering.

Whilst there I checked the banks and found that the interest rates were excellent. On returning home I decided to move to Turkey. I could live like a queen on my money in the bank...!

Recep told me about the problems he had, no money, his father was poor, mother had died and they didn't know when they would be able to eat there next meal..... I said when I come over, you can stay with me, I will rent a house, and you can work as a waiter..He said the money was so poor working as a waiter...He asked me to help, to buy a bar which I would own...MMmmmmm

In April 1993. I left England, put my furniture on a lorry to send to Izmir port. Quickly I came across problems. The Turkish customs and excise would not let me take my furniture from the port, unless I could prove, I was married to a Turkish man. Rejept and I got married. I gave him £1000 and thanked him. I would pay for the divorce. I was able to get my furniture and antiques. I rented a house. Rejep moved in with me as I had promised. He sulked constantly as I was not prepared to buy a bar, became very angry and would get drunk and violent. I asked him to leave. Only then did I realised my passport was stolen. I was unable to leave the country, until a new one had been issued from the British Embassy, this took months.

Rejep began threatened me, if I didn't give him money he would have me arrested...I then met Nurhan, he was a manager of a seafront restaurant...He said he would care for me and stop Rejep frightening and threatening to kill me...

Nurhan moved into my house, and the next day left his job..He said he was my body guard.

No one at the banks 15 years ago spoke English. Nurhan became my translater. He knew every £ that I had in my account.

I was in a trap...everyday feeding this man, who was turning into a bully. The same story, if you can help me, I can make millions. Stories of how his father had lost the family's money, how they had been very rich before the father had taken a mistress...how his mother was dieing and need a heart bypass.

At 6am one morning, the police surrounded my house and I was arrested. Rejep had a solicitor, who used the turkish law 'A married woman must not have another man in her home'. I was under police guard and escorted to the hospital. There I had to under go a smear test, to cheque if there was sperm inside of me. Result negative. Even with this, my only option was to accept the offer, charges dropped if I paid two thirds of my money in the bank. I was police escorted with instructions from the solicitor, that it had to be in cash..

My passport eventually arrived, and any money I had left money was dwindling fast.

I returned to England in September of 1993 living with my mother, I worked night duties at the hospital and saved money...

My apartment in Majorca, I sold, and moved back to the Turkey dream in April of 1994. This time living with Nurhans family in Izmir. I gave money for a bus company for the family...There was no bus company... it was ticket selling, not even an office...lies and more lies..

I was kept a hostage by Nurhans mother and sister, not allowed to go out only with an escort.....it gets worse...

Pressure was placed on me constantly, that it was right to help financially, that's what Turkish family's do.....

Nurhans family connections were with the Army, a Cornel Shanasi . He helped Nurhan to go to Northern Cyprus, I paid for flights and accomodation. As he had been refused his visa to England previously in Istanbul.

So 3 years later.! We came via Northern Cyprus to Stanstead airport, where Nurhan was detained. They did not believe his story that he was a business man..He was released, pending investigations.

We arrived in Sheffield my home town. My mother did not wish to know me,( I cant understand why.. ha), my brother let us live with him until I got a rented house, all I had by now was a suitcase and a hundred pounds..I was put under pressure to marry, we married on Valentines Day 1998 so he could stay in England. Nurhan used my phone everyday for 6 weeks, creating large telephone bills of £1000's. One night I checked him..he thought I was going to work...I came home at 11pm and waited. It was 7am when he arrived home...He had been at the casino spending my money... I kicked him onto the street.

The threats on my life began. How he had connections with the army and to watch my back for many years. I contacted the home office, to have him taken out of England, they were very slow. Eventually driven by terror I allowed him to stay in England. Again he asked for money from me, begging pleading, how he could make a court case against the bus company in Izmir. Promising to pay me back the £100,000 that I had lost over those years!....I never saw him again, thank god..

It took 3 years to divorce him...I had helped a man who was not worthy of my compassion and kindness....this is why I never returned to Turkey in 11 years...

I returned for a holiday this year to Hisaronu..Just a quiet rest..You guessed, I met a charming man Riza... Again, its the same old, old, story...I can help you find land, you buy, and build a house, which will be yours. On sale we can share the profit.!.I have a very difficult life I am divorced with 3 children to raise...It is easy for you, you live alone..Oh NO...!

There are terrible stories that go around our small country,of Turkish men extracting money by deception and distroying English womens lives usually emotional blackmail and sob stories. Good English women do not sleep around, and are vulnerable to attention. This is why we are all vunerable and warn each other of the problems.Come on you English guys, wake up and start to give your girls the attention they crave..

I am a beautiful women, slim, long blonde hair, 5' 6"...I understand the culture,Turkish men take care of their women, not the other way around...I have mixed with turkish ladies who have wonderful lifes, they dont have to work, they have parties in their homes.Go shopping. I enjoyed serving the elderly ladies. Cooking the Turkish food. There ARE some very wealthy turkish people, who never marry out of their culture...Sadly it is the poor men who learn to speak English, they look for European women to extract a life... this is their passport out of poverty....Some purposely divorce, with the idea of the male meeting an English or German woman to help the family.

I have worked very hard in 11 years to recover losses, and made a success out of a disaster.I have a good job, a home, a car and a life that no man has given to me.

David was the ONLY man in my life who was true...An english guy at university, very poor, never asked for one £, gave everything he could, his sweetness I will always remember, he was a true friend. Today I celebrate his life by building my web site.

www.oneinamilliondating.co.uk

Davids subject was IT. Had he lived, he would have been at the top of his profession...My advice to turkish men is... Make your own life....never ask for money for buisness deals...Make the life, as I have done...by hard work...
