"Dog-friendly? Not any more!"
A review of The Mill by Susannah OHanlon - Saturday 26th of July 2008What a disappointment that the management has changed at what was previously one of my favorite pubs.
Unlike the previous reviewer, I found the previous manager friendly and relaxed - he promoted his pub as a dog-friendly venue and served good pub food, as well as achieving a great authentically irish atmosphere.
Having not been inside the pub for a while I am now disappointed that there is new management - with a no-dogs policy (perfectly understandable for some of the busier pubs in town, but for us who like to combine a stroll on the commons with ALL our family members, with a drink inside on a cold night, less convenient).
The food and decor have changed for the worse as well.
Not a bad place, just nothing to make it special anymore.
