A review of Tatties Café Restaurant by Sue Godfrey written on Wednesday 30th of July 2008
We just visited Tatties, Cambridge for an early lunch. I had what was supposed to be a baked spud with cheese and sour cream.
The spud was so over- cooked it had no flavour...the cheese - was it cheese? It certainly was something grated but it was transluscent and greyishly plastic in colour and texture, with no flavour and the salad (lettuce with one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber) looked like it had been in the bag for a couple of days.
My son had a breakfast grill.
Grey is the colour of the month it seems cos the sausage looked grey, the bacon looked grey, the mushrooms looked grey but not the the baked beans were well over miked they were almost mush.
An absolutely appalling meal.
The drinks were coffee which tasted of something? And the orange juice could have been anything orange in a glass, unchilled.
I will never visit Tatties again..
