"Tony and Guy a cut above Supercut"
A review of Toni & Guy Hairdressers by D.C - Monday 11th of August 2008
I went to T & G in Aylesbury just this week for a cut. I arrived early and didnt have to wait very long. Everyone was pleasant and my hairstylist (a junior) Marissa cut my hair to a fashion that suited me and that I also liked. She not only washed and cut my hair but also gave me a blowdry. She used an astounding amount of different products on my hair(6 to be exact)and as all hairstylists do, described what each ones use was for. When she was finished and handed me over to reception. Neither my stylist nor any of the receptionists tried to sell their products to me as most hairsalons do. I was happy paying the £34 and gladly gave her a tip. I was asked if I wanted anything to drink right at the beginning of my appointment and also halfway through. Whereas when I went to Supercuts a few years back I paid half the price but also got half the service. At Supercuts I asked for a cut that was "different" than the one I had. The stylist cut my hair but did not dry it and it took her a whole hour just for a wash and cut. There was nothing "different" to my "new" look. Not once did they ask if I wanted a drink. They also had the cheek to try and sell their washing products to me. I walked out a very unhappy client with wet hair and a cut I propably could have done myself. To me this showed that sometimes you have to pay a bit more for better quality, altough it could just be that I had a one off really bad experience and whilst other people hapily go to Supercuts again and again, I will never set foot in a Supercut salon again.
